Pilina means association, connection and relationship in Hawaiian. At Pilina, we pride ourselves on a holistic approach to property management, that benefits owners and tenants alike, by creating communities with strong connections and enabling tenants to be more than just satisfied with their rental.


We offer a full scope of services, through all aspects of the rental lifecycle, from marketing to leasing and screening to rent collection, tenant relations and more. Pilina is a beacon toward self-actualization for the people and communities we serve.

OUr LEADERSHIP

Alicia vennes photo

Alicia Vennes is a third-generation property manager and started her property management career in 2005 as a site manager of a small apartment complex in Portland, Oregon. She spent nearly a decade as an on site Property Manager before becoming Assistant Portfolio Manager for Cascade Management in Portland, Oregon. Shortly after, Alicia spent two years as a Single Family Portfolio Manager. In 2016 she became Portland’s First Single Family Portfolio Manager of the year. Prior to starting STARS, Alicia was Client Relations Manager for OneApp, an internet listing site for the housing industry. Alicia was nominated as one of Portland Business Journal’s Most Influential Women of 2019 and is a Certified Apartment Manager. She holds a Business & Leadership degree from Marylhurst University. Alicia is an avid reader, a mother to three kids and three bonus kids, and calls Maui, Hawaii her home.

    1. From the Home or Maintenance tab, click Request Maintenance.
    2. Enter a detailed description of the issue, upload one or more photos of the item needing attention, give the property manager permission to enter with their key, then click Submit Request.
